Avenue 52
"Homeless"

Avenue 52 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, CA. formed in 2009, is comprised of lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Tyler Aguirre, lead guitar and vocals, Sean Alexander, and drummer and background vocals by Beau Evens. The band’s core sound is pop melodies with rock undertones. They co-write and produce their own lyrics and music.

The single, "Homeless," was co-written by Sean Alexander, Drew Ryan
Scott  and Pascal Guyon.  The song was their first single and was released as a music video used in support of their efforts to increase awareness amongst the local L.A. community. A portion of the proceeds from "Homeless" was donated to homeless organizations throughout the L.A. area.

“Living and working in L.A., we see the issue of homelessness all over our city. We felt compelled to raise awareness and provide financial support to the organizations on the front line of this issue,” said lead singer, Tyler Aguirre.

“As artists in this community, we wanted to see if our efforts might spark the interest of other artists to join us or support the community in a similar way,” said lead guitarist, Sean Alexander. “We want to reach out to our fans and music fans everywhere,” said Aguirre. “Our hope is to ignite the passion needed to confront and eradicate this global epidemic.”

"Homeless"
Lyrics

Trapped in this box, alone on the streets,
begging for someone else to love me.

I'm searching for you, are you searching for me?
'Cause I've been abandoned.
(yeah)

Falling behind in the human race, do you even recognize my face?
I'm thinking of who and what I wanted to be,

but we don't have no time to waste,
I don't believe that it's too late...

To let the walls fall down,
let your heart give in,
set your emotions free from all the pain.
Say a promise that you'll never leave me homeless.
(Oh no, oh no)

Looking for change, cause I want a taste,
of something that's better than this place.

But I'm finding out there's just no easy way,
as I'm plotting my escape, I don't believe that its too late...

To let the walls fall down, let your heart give in,
set your emotions free from all the pain.

Say a promise that you'll never leave me....
Home is where the heart is, so if you're homeless
where do you go to find the heart?
To get through the struggles,
to get through your troubles.
(Yeah)

Just let your walls fall down, let your heart give in,
set your emotions free from all the pain.

Just let your walls fall down, let your heart give in,
set your emotions free from all the pain.

Say a promise that you'll never leave,
say a promise that you'll never leave,
say a promise that you'll never leave me
homeless.
(Oh no, oh no)
