Homeless Persons' Memorial Day Top 100 Songs
This is a list of songs relating to homelessness, many of which you will find were written and performed by contemporary musical artists over the years.
We have found that nearly every mainstream contemporary songwriter has at least one song in their collection that somehow relates to issues surrounding homelessness. However, the fact that no artists could be found that made an entire career of wealth and fame from writing, singing and playing songs about the homeless may answer questions about why some songs may have a more subtle descriptive approach than others.
These songs have not yet been ranked according to popularity, so the song numbers are just our way of cataloging the music for now. In the future, we may let the public choose their favorites possibly by the number of page hits for each song and then apply the numbers of visits to each page to determine popular rankings.
We would like to thank those artists that gave special permission to use their music and we thank in advance those artists that we were not able to contact for allowing us to share their music. Hope 4 Restoration is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and does not own the rights to any of these songs, nor do we intend to profit financially from using them.
